MAKING NEW FRIENDS
It's funny how you get to meet some people on your travels.  Take Anthony for example.  If it hadn't been such a windy day and if it hadn't been rubbish collection day in Rosanna, then we may have missed bumping into that wheelie bin.  And then we wouldn't have had to find a caravan repair place in Campbellfield where Anthony works. He was such a nice chap, & he fixed the awning arm in no time at all.  That was just getting out of Melbourne.  Since then we've had no more dramas, and we are enjoying ourselves.  Geoff informs me that it's no wonder that we're using so much fuel, as there's more stuff in the van than we left at Heathmont.  He's got to be kidding.  Have seen where the Darling & Murray rivers converge - fascinating seeing the line of muddy water from the Darling before it mixes with that of the Murray.  Spent a couple of nights in the lovely Clare Valley, and were lulled to sleep by the noise from the rodeo over the road!  Love that music.  Today we travelled via some very pretty towns, including Georgetown & Laura.  The rain has had a good effect on the countryside with lots of greenery showing through were previously we've seen only brown.  No cross-winds today, which made travel easier than previous days.  We're now on the edge of the outback at Port Augusta. The view of Spencer Gulf as we came in from Wilmington was great - stretches of blue water, with mountains in the background.  We'll spend some time at the Arid Gardens tomorrow.  Then it's off to Woomera. We've had a couple of arguments with the GPS, but still managed to make it to where we wanted to go.
